Admissions Overview

The Admissions Department manages all aspects of the application and enrolment process for students at Insworld Institute, including fee payments. It also ensures that Insworld Institute upholds the statutory rights of students, parents and guardians, and meets all the legal and regulatory obligations of a Private Education Institution, as set out in the Private Education Act 2009, and regulated by the Committee for Private Education through EduTrust. It is the responsibility of the Admissions Department to ensure that all students, parents and guardians are in a position to choose the programme that is most likely to lead to a positive educational experience and academic success. This involves counselling about courses, help with all aspects of admissions and enrolment including dealing with the Singapore ICA (Student’s Pass application process).

3. Provide the following:

- An application fee of S$1,500.00 The application fee is non-refundable in all cases except in
the event that the Singapore Ministry of Education should not approve the application of
a Singapore citizen to study at Insworld Institute. In this event, the application fee is fully refundable.
- One recent colour passport-size photograph (on white background). Certified* copies of your most recent school results/transcripts and your highest school leaving certificate. (If original transcripts are not in English, please provide a certified translation).
- For International Students:
a photocopy of your International Passport and any other pass issued by ICA in Singapore.
-For Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents only; photocopy of your NRIC and/or your International Passport.
- Photocopy of NRIC and/or International Passport of Parent(s) and Legal Guardian (if any).

*Certified means seen and authenticated by a member of Insworld staff, or approved agent of Insworld, the school that issued the transcript or a 3rd party with the legal power to certify documents in your country. All students must produce the originals of these documents for verification before commencing their studies at Insworld.

19. Feedback Complain Procedure

Insworld Institute welcomes all comments from stakeholders on the quality and effectiveness of our provision.

We particularly want to know if stakeholders experience problems with any aspect of the way we work. We would hope to manage any problems on an informal basis and reach a conclusion that is acceptable to all parties. However, if it is felt that that Insworld Institute is not fulfilling its statutory, regulatory or other responsibilities to its students, parents, guardians or other stakeholders, feedback may be submitted to the school by email at enquiries@insworld.edu.sg

All formal complaints will be acknowledged by the school and duly investigated in accordance with Insworld’s Complaints Policy and Procedure.

A full response will be provided within fourteen working days. If this response is not acceptable to the complainant, the matter will be further investigated and a response provided within a further seven working days.

At all times, a stakeholder has the right to file a complaint with the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC), or the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SiArb) to seek other legal redress against Insworld Institute

PEI - Student Contract

The CPE, in aiming to enhance the confidence of students and their parents in the quality of education in Singapore, has stipulated that all PEIs must sign a PEI- Student contract with their students. The contract sets out the important terms and conditions governing the relationship between the student and the PEI. Insworld Institute Pte Ltd will honour all the terms and conditions set out in the PEI- Student contract and in all related communication materials.

Cooling-Off Period

All new students have a cooling-off period of seven (7) working days after the date when the Student Contract has been signed by both parties. The student will be refunded the highest percentage (stated in Section D) of the fees already paid if the student submits a written notice of withdrawal to Insworld Institute within the cooling-off period, regardless of whether the Student has started the course or not.

Fee Protection Scheme

Fee Protection Scheme-FPS

All Private Education Institutions in Singapore must have in place a Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) to provide protection for all fees paid by all their students. FPS protects students’ fees in the event that a PEI is unable to continue operating due to insolvency, and/or closure, as well as if a PEI is unable to pay a judgement sum due to a student.
Insworld student fees are protected through operating an FPS Group Insurance Scheme (FPS-G) with Lonpac Insurance Bhd, a CPE appointed FPS Service Provider.

All standard compulsory course fees, including tuition fees, additional tuition fees due to a change in programme (subject to a new contract), standard/mandatory examination fees, and course enrolment fees are covered by the FPS-G. Insworld does not collect fees beyond 12 months.

Other miscellaneous items including application fees, re-examination fees, supplementary examination fees, external examination charges for non-standard or non-compulsory exams, Student’s Pass charges, textbooks and stationery do not come under the FPS-G.

Only after signing of the Advisory Note to Students and Student Contract, the student is allowed to pay the course fee to Insworld’s bank account.

Note:

1. The FPS is mandatory for all Insworld students.  
2. Under the FPS Insurance Scheme, please ensure that you have signed the Advisory Note to Students and the Student Contract before paying the course fees to Insworld.
3. Should you need more information with regards to this Fee Protection Scheme (FPS), please refer to the Committee for Private Education (CPE)’s section of Skills Future SG website (www.ssg-wsg.gov.sg).

Medical Insurance

Insworld Institute Pte Ltd has in place a group medical insurance scheme for all its students. This medical insurance scheme will have a minimum coverage as follows:- an annual coverage limit of S$20,000 per student, covering up to B2 ward in government and restructured hospitals and providing for 24 hour coverage in Singapore and overseas (if student is involved in Insworld-related activities) throughout the course duration of the student’s course.

Change of Ownership or Management

Insworld Institute Pte Ltd will inform all stakeholders of any change in ownership or management within 14 days.

    We particularly want to know if stakeholders experience problems with any aspect of the way we work. We would hope to manage any problems on an informal basis and reach a conclusion that is acceptable to all parties. However, if it is felt that that Insworld Institute is not fulfilling its statutory, regulatory or other responsibilities to its students, parents, guardians or other stakeholders, feedback may be submitted to the school by email at enquiries@insworld.edu.sg

    All formal complaints will be acknowledged by the school and duly investigated in accordance with Insworld’s Complaints Policy and Procedure.

    A full response will be provided within fourteen working days. If this response is not acceptable to the complainant, the matter will be further investigated and a response provided within a further seven working days.

    At all times, a stakeholder has the right to file a complaint with the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC), or the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SiArb) to seek other legal redress against Insworld Institute

    PEI - Student Contract

    The CPE, in aiming to enhance the confidence of students and their parents in the quality of education in Singapore, has stipulated that all PEIs must sign a PEI- Student contract with their students. The contract sets out the important terms and conditions governing the relationship between the student and the PEI. Insworld Institute Pte Ltd will honour all the terms and conditions set out in the PEI- Student contract and in all related communication materials.

    Cooling-Off Period

    All new students have a cooling-off period of seven (7) working days after the date when the Student Contract has been signed by both parties. The student will be refunded the highest percentage (stated in Section D) of the fees already paid if the student submits a written notice of withdrawal to Insworld Institute within the cooling-off period, regardless of whether the Student has started the course or not.

    Fee Protection Scheme

    Fee Protection Scheme-FPS

    All Private Education Institutions in Singapore must have in place a Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) to provide protection for all fees paid by all their students. FPS protects students’ fees in the event that a PEI is unable to continue operating due to insolvency, and/or closure, as well as if a PEI is unable to pay a judgement sum due to a student.
    Insworld student fees are protected through operating an FPS Group Insurance Scheme (FPS-G) with Lonpac Insurance Bhd, a CPE appointed FPS Service Provider.

    All standard compulsory course fees, including tuition fees, additional tuition fees due to a change in programme (subject to a new contract), standard/mandatory examination fees, and course enrolment fees are covered by the FPS-G. Insworld does not collect fees beyond 12 months.

    Other miscellaneous items including application fees, re-examination fees, supplementary examination fees, external examination charges for non-standard or non-compulsory exams, Student’s Pass charges, textbooks and stationery do not come under the FPS-G.

    Only after signing of the Advisory Note to Students and Student Contract, the student is allowed to pay the course fee to Insworld’s bank account.

    Note:

    1. The FPS is mandatory for all Insworld students.  
    2. Under the FPS Insurance Scheme, please ensure that you have signed the Advisory Note to Students and the Student Contract before paying the course fees to Insworld.
    3. Should you need more information with regards to this Fee Protection Scheme (FPS), please refer to the Committee for Private Education (CPE)’s section of Skills Future SG website (www.ssg-wsg.gov.sg).

    Medical Insurance

    Insworld Institute Pte Ltd has in place a group medical insurance scheme for all its students. This medical insurance scheme will have a minimum coverage as follows:- an annual coverage limit of S$20,000 per student, covering up to B2 ward in government and restructured hospitals and providing for 24 hour coverage in Singapore and overseas (if student is involved in Insworld-related activities) throughout the course duration of the student’s course.

    Change of Ownership or Management

    Insworld Institute Pte Ltd will inform all stakeholders of any change in ownership or management within 14 days.

    - For International Students:
    a photocopy of your International Passport and any other pass issued by ICA in Singapore.
    -For Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents only; photocopy of your NRIC and/or your International Passport.
    - Photocopy of NRIC and/or International Passport of Parent(s) and Legal Guardian (if any).

    *Certified means seen and authenticated by a member of Insworld staff, or approved agent of Insworld, the school that issued the transcript or a 3rd party with the legal power to certify documents in your country. All students must produce the originals of these documents for verification before commencing their studies at Insworld.
